Musashi on the Back of Whale, Canvas Tote Bag
This canvas tote bag has a design inspired by the work of Artist Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1797-1861), titled Musashi on the Back of Whale. He was one of the last great masters of the Japanese ukiyo-e style of woodblock prints and paintings. He is known for depictions of the battles of legendary samurai heroes. Hence the image of Miyamoto Musashi plunging his sword into a giant whale. His artwork incorporates aspects of Western representation in landscape painting and caricature.

The story started in In December 1682, Yaoya Oshichi fell in love with Saemon during the great fire in the Tenna Era, at Shōsen-in, the family temple.
