This purse has a design inspired by the work of Artist Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849), the leading ukiyo-e artist and printmaker of the later Edo period. Hokusai painted numerous mythological works during his career. This purse features a Phoenix covered in an array of red and blue featherswith beautiful detail. Kitagawa Utamaro (1753 – 1806) was a Japanese artist. He is one of the most highly regarded practitioners of the ukiyo-e genre of woodblock prints, especially for his portraits of beautiful women.
