This work “Bird Attracted to Ripe Fruit” shows a sand sparrow standing on a Chinese pear-leaved crabapple branch with its head raised, calling for its peers to share the ripe fruit. The painter uses extremely fine strokes to portray the feathers of the sand sparrow, and running ink repeatedly to strengthen the sense of cluster and texture.
